News letter November 2018
The weather is changing, the cold November nights are drawing in but a few hardy souls are already hard at work in the boatyard with their winter maintenance regime.
My personal thanks go out to both Charles Lloyd who laid a wreath at the Memorial in Hightown and to Cedric Loughran who did a fine job of the Ode of Remembrance.
The beacon lighting in honour of the centenary of the armistice was a great success, a lovely way to remember the fallen of all conflicts.
The next event at the BSC is the Annual General Meeting on Sunday 2nd December. The notification and meeting agenda has been sent out.
All members are welcome to attend.
We then have the BSC Christmas Party, taking place on Saturday 15th December, always a very popular night. This year we have a hot and cold buffet from Gillions, Richie Stone will be providing the entertainment and there will be a disco. Tickets are £18.50 and are available from either Chris Williams or Julie in the bar.
