 News June 2022

Last Saturday for the first time in quite a few years we welcomed the Hoylake Raiding Party to Hightown. Not quite the Viking Raid but close. The event took place all day with a fish and chips supper later in the evening. Many thanks go out to our visitors and to the organising team Rohan, Deryk and everyone who supported the team to bring the sailors ashore and help with the safe mooring of our visitors. Better organisation than TUI or EasyJet. All on time and no missing luggage. Below pic brings back memories of Hightown from years gone by.

RNLI Day 17 th July 2022

As you may be aware for years our club has supported the fantastic work that the
RNLI provide all over the UK. It has been a long-standing tradition that we hold a
special day to raise much needed funds.
This year due to covid and some unfortunate changes to the local RNLI membership
we are in the position where we need to organize the event in house.
Please can I request a small donation from any member who wish to contribute, to
be included in the tombola and raffle, held on the day.
Any donations can be handed in to Julie at the bar or if you contact myself, or I can
arrange collection
Likewise, if any member wants to set up a stall or who knows someone who would
like to set up a stall on the day, again a small contribution from any profit would very
much appreciate, all are welcome to take part not just our members.
Hopefully we will have a fantastic day and raise lots of money for a worthy cause,
one more ask if anyone can please help on the day it would be appreciated.
We have confirmation that the RNLI will be attending sailing over from New Brighton.
